Hello families! My name is Danyale Parrish, and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your children. With 14 years of experience in early childhood education, I bring a strong passion for supporting young children’s growth and development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Join me in fostering a love for learning and creativity.
Our journey began with a vision for creative minds
Starting Creative Little Thinkers came from a deep desire to give children a dedicated space. This space helps them build creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. It also lets them explore and innovate during their most formative years. We focus on fostering flexibility and the ability to think creatively, preparing children for an unpredictable future. We believe that encouraging imagination, such as transforming everyday materials into toys, builds essential lifelong skills in adaptability and critical thinking.
Connection before curriculum: Our unique teaching philosophy
After 14 years in the field, my teaching philosophy centers on “Connection Before Curriculum.” I create a safe, nurturing, joyful classroom where children feel loved and valued first. I strive to create a “second home” environment, using tailored, hands-on, inquiry-based learning that meets each child’s needs and builds curiosity. This approach supports student-led discovery, making learning fun and engaging through active projects. Parents can expect a growth mindset approach. We help each child reach their potential. Each child will feel safe enough to take risks. We also build a strong, collaborative partnership.
Bringing stories to life: My passion beyond the classroom
Outside of my professional experience, I’m passionate about creative writing and storytelling. I even wrote a children’s book on StoryJumper, which deepened my appreciation for how stories spark imagination and help children learn important lessons in engaging ways. This hobby has strengthened my ability to connect with students, tailor lessons to different learning styles, and make educational experiences both meaningful and fun. I enjoy incorporating storytelling, books, and language-rich activities into the classroom to spark imagination and support early learning.
